Day 3 of my 5-day egg fast went…. relatively well, I suppose. I dove into some of the fun recipes and enjoyed every single bite I ate today. Not too many people say that 3 days into their egg fast ?
Although enjoyable, I may have indulged in a little more cheese than originally planned…oops! It started out great with the cheese in my egg fast keto meal plan with breakfast and lunch, but then I had a few unplanned eats after the fact.
As a result, I’m very skeptical about seeing another drop on the scale in the morning, but we shall see. In the meantime, here are my weight stats and my food for the day!
Starting Weight: 147.8
After Day 1: 146.4
After Day 2: 145.8
I started the day with yummy Egg Fast Pancakes, cooked up in coconut oil, and topped with butter and 1 tbsp of Lakanto Maple Syrup.
If you’re new to the keto scene and haven’t heard of Lakanto Maple Syrup, it’s like a little piece of heaven! It’s made from monk fruit and is my go-to syrup for pancakes.
I also enjoyed an Egg Fast Coffee made with 2 cups coffee, 1 raw egg, 1 tbsp butter, and 1 tablespoon coconut oil.
Egg Fast Pancakes Recipe:
2 Eggs + 2 ounces Cream Cheese, mixed in the blender!
Total for breakfast: 3 Eggs, 4 Fats, 2 Cheese
Another fan favorite of the Keto Egg Fast Diet, and for good reason, I gobbled down an Egg Fast Fettuccini Alfredo for lunch.
I made a double batch of the egg noodles…and they are truly egg noodles…because I know I want more tomorrow, and the next day….and maybe even after the egg fast is done. Seriously, the Egg Fast Fettuccini Alfredo is just that good!
Total for lunch: 2 eggs, 1 fat, 2 Cheese
For dinner, I went with my last serving of deviled eggs. I’m sad that there won’t be more this week, but unless I can pay someone to peel my eggs…in the words of Heather land…” uh hu, I ain’t do’in it”.
Total for dinner: 3 eggs, 3 fats
The snacky part of the day is where the wheels fell off a bit and overindulged on cheese! The first snack was mid-afternoon, and I was starving!
Sooooo, I poured a ¼ cup of parmesan cheese into a bowl and ate it with a spoon. Please tell me I’m not the only person who has ever eaten grated parmesan cheese with a spoon…. anyone? anyone?
Then after dinner, my husband was grilling himself brats for dinner, which is a time we usually just hang out on the patio and enjoy an adult beverage. I didn’t want to cheat and have alcohol, but in the spirit of “patio hangout with hubby”, I made myself an Egg Fast Shake to drink. (recipe for egg fast shake on Day 2)
These two snacks put me about 3 ounces OVER on cheese. Though I broke the egg fast keto rules, I’ll try to do better tomorrow!
Total for snack: 2 eggs, 2 fats, 3 Cheese
Totals for the Day
10 eggs, 10 fats, 7 cheeses
