Ingredients to make Keto Taco Pie

Pie Crust: 1 Perfect Keto Pie Crust (Sweet or Savory)

Ground Beef: 1 pound ground beef

Taco Seasoning and Spices: 3 tablespoon taco seasoning or one packet taco seasoning, 1 tablespoon minced garlic, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon pepper.

Wet Ingredients: 4 large eggs and 1/3 cup heavy cream

Cheese: You can’t have taco night without cheese! For this keto taco pie, you will need 1 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese.

How to make Keto Taco Pie (with a Keto Crust)

Preheat. Set the oven to 350° F.

Crust Preparation. If the pie crust has not been prebaked, then bake it for 10 minutes before adding the taco pie filling.

Brown the beef. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet.

Add cheese and bake. Sprinkle the top with the cheddar cheese, then bake for 30 minutes. Keep an eye on the pie crust as you may need to foil the edges to keep it from browning too much.

Cool. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for at least 5 minutes before serving.

Finish. Top with sour cream, guacamole, salsa, or any other toppings of choice, and enjoy!

How to Refrigerate Keto Taco Pie

Of course! Leftovers are always great the next day, so make sure to save your leftovers in the fridge!

Grab some plastic wrap or foil and cover your Keto Taco Pie tightly. Your taco pie will keep in the fridge for about 5 days.

Or, if you are looking for a quick grab and go, you can pre-slice the keto taco pie and store it in individual servings. This especially works great for my teenager who can use a microwave at school to heat up his lunch.

Can you freeze Keto Taco Pie?

Absolutely! Just like egg bites freeze well, this keto taco pie freezes great, meaning you can cook up several batches in one day and freeze for later.

Simply prepare and bake the keto taco pie, then allow it to cool completely before wrapping it in plastic wrap with an additional layer of aluminum foil (for extra protection). Place in the freezer for up to 3 months.

When ready, allow the keto taco pie to thaw at room temperature, then reheat in the oven or microwave.

(Again, this is a great option for school or work if you have a microwave to heat up your lunch!)

What else to top your Keto Taco Pie with?

Everyone loves a good topping! Common Keto Taco Pie toppings include:

  • Lettuce
  • Tomatoes
  • Black Olives/Green Olives
  • Guacamole
  • Sour Cream
  • Salsa
  • Chipotle Peppers
  • Jalapenos
