Big flavor with minimal ingredients ✅

Easy to meal prep and freeze for busy weeks ✅

🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred for juicy burgers)
  • 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce (finely chopped — look for a sugar-free brand)
  • 1 tbsp adobo sauce (from the chipotle can)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix: In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Use your hands or a spoon to mix just until everything is combined—don’t overmix or your burgers will get tough!
  2. Shape: Form into 4 equal-sized patties. Press a slight indent in the center of each patty with your thumb (this helps them cook evenly without puffing up).
  3. Cook:
    • Grill: Preheat grill to medium-high. Grill patties for about 4–5 minutes per side, until cooked to your desired doneness.
    • Skillet: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side.
  4. Serve: Let burgers rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Serving Ideas

  • Wrap in large romaine or butter lettuce leaves with avocado and tomato
  • Serve over cauliflower rice with guacamole
  • Stack with grilled veggies for a bunless burger plate
  • Top with dairy-free chipotle mayo for extra kick

Storage

  • Fridge: Cooked patties last up to 4 days in an airtight container.
  • Freezer: Freeze raw patties between parchment sheets for up to 3 months. Thaw in fridge before cooking.

Tips & Variations

  • Want it spicier? Add an extra chipotle pepper or a pinch of cayenne.
  • No chipotles? Use 1 tsp chipotle powder instead.
  • Lower fat option? Use ground turkey, but add 1 tbsp olive oil to the mixture to keep it moist.

Final Thoughts
