Hey there!
My name is Cathy, and I’m the creator behind Healthy Ambitions. In my former life, I was a junk food loving carb-aholic who resisted any form of exercise. While I was an appropriate weight on the outside, I was terribly unhealthy on the inside.
So what changed? The truth is, I just got older. My body could no longer handle all the candy, junk food, miles of pasta noodles, and untold empty calories, all while maintaining a “healthy” weight.
In my early 30s, I heard the term “skinny-fat” for the first time. I learned how deceiving a person’s outward appearance could be compared to their actual health. For the first time in my life, I began to realize how my lack of nutrition and activity was damaging my health.
My healthy lifestyle “awakening” happened 10 years ago, and since then I’ve been on a journey along with my family to create a lifestyle of health through diet and exercise. Where I started looks different than where I am now and will continue to evolve as I research and learn all there is to know about nutrition and fitness.
I love teaching and inspiring others to become their healthy best, and that’s why I created this blog. I want to share my experiences and everything I’ve learned over the years, both in nutrition and exercise. My hope is that I can inspire and assist you in making better, healthier choices in your life too.
