Easy Keto Crepes

A couple of weeks ago I made my super easy homemade keto Nutella. After making it I realized I had nothing in the house to pair it with other than Keto bread. I wasn’t in the mood for toast so I grabbed a spoon and just ate a spoonful!

Although delicious, something with missing! I wanted to get creative and make something different; not just for me, but for my family as well.

Brace yourself, because when I say they are delicious, they are DELICIOUS! I even tested these out on my non-keto family members and they went nuts for them! In fact, (if you are local to downtown Knoxville, you will know what I’m talking about) they said these crepes rivaled the French Market Creperie crepes.

If you are familiar with and/or local, the French Market Creperie serves up an amazing crepe AND does offer gluten-free options with a buckwheat crepe! However, it is not low-carb or keto-approved.

Berries: I used 1/4 cup of strawberries, however, you and pick your berry of choice.

Sugar-Free Nutella Spread: Follow my recipe here; It’s better than store-bought sugar-free Nutella!

Fold your crepe. Once you have filled your crepe, you are going to move on to folding your crepe. Fold each section into the next. Take the top right 1/4 down, then bottom left 1/4 to the left, and finally, the bottom left back up. You should have a triangle crepe once you are done!

What to Serve with Keto Nutella Crepes

If I can customize a food; that is a food for me! I love crepes because it checks the box for customization and the possibilities are truly endless!

As you can tell, my family and I have fallen in love with Keto crepes smeared with my homemade keto-approved Nutella. However, they are just as delicious with a tiny sprinkling of powdered sugar (Swerve).

If you are looking to change up the flavor, consider trying:

  • Lemon Raspberry
  • Blueberry
  • Blackberry
  • If you enjoy smoked salmon for breakfast, try a smoked salmon crepe!

Questions you might have

Are crepes high in carbs?

Traditional crepes are high in carbs and are not keto-approved. However, with Crepini Crepes or homemade keto crepe recipes you can now enjoy crepes without all the carbs!

Can I store my crepes?

No, I do not recommend making and storing these crepes as they can and will go bad and get soggy. I highly recommend making them as you and/or your family want them so they are fresh and delicious every time!

Are crepes just a thin pankcake?

The main difference is that pancake batter has a raising agent in it, like baking powder or baking soda making them thick and fluffy. Traditional crepe batter does not have any rising agents.
