Keto Chicken Tips and Tricks

  • I find it best to prepare the keto egg noodles a day or two ahead of time.
  • If you are looking to make your carbonara thicker you can all 1/4 teaspoon of xanthan gum.
  • Temper your eggs with warm cream before adding them to the skillet. This will prevent the eggs from scrambling.

What is Chicken Carbonara?

Keto Chicken Carbonara ready to eat

Chicken Carbonara is a classic Italian dish made with pasta, pancetta (or bacon), garlic, eggs, and cream.

However, the traditional recipe is not keto-friendly … until now!

With this easy keto recipe, I have skipped the pasta and replaced it with a super easy-to-make keto egg noodle that tastes like regular pasta.

What are These Viral Keto Noodles?

If you haven’t seen my video on how to make keto noodles through noodleficiation, you should check out THIS RECIPE which includes a video demonstration of how to make them.

“Noodleficition” is a totally made-up term. The actual culinary term is “spherification” which is traditionally used to make fruit caviar, but since I use spherification ingredients for making noodles, I combined the words for fun!

How to store Keto Chicken Carbonara?

This dish is best served fresh. However, if you have leftovers, they can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

I do not recommend freezing this dish because cream-based sauces don’t freeze well. If you do choose to freeze your leftovers, expect some separation in the freezing process.
